Rhiannon wasn't afraid. She was accustomed to running for her life after all.
"Nothing new to me," she told him, also kicking her horse into gait. She strode besides Dewi and his men as they ran.
"Where are we heading?"

" South!" He shouted as loud as he could, all of a sudden it started pouring down with rain, drenching Dewi and his troops alike. No, drenched was the wrong word. More like drowned.
He loved the rain though. it refreshed him. It also slows pursuers down.

Rhiannon loved the rain. It felt good against her skin, even if her long hair was getting soaked. She followed Dewi on her horse and kicked her feet out of the stirrups. She was used to riding bareback so it was more comfortable for her.
She looked back, watching her home fade in the distance as they rode farther away. She wondered if she'd ever return.
"Dewi...will we return ever?"

" I don't think so!" He shouted over the growing winds, he checked his horse. He saw movement and shouted. " Keep moving!" After pulling out his old telescope, he raised it and looked at the spot where he had saw movement. It had looked like a soldier. but nothing was there.
He kicked his horse into a gallop to catch up. He had put his telescope in the saddle bag. And now he rode through the storm.

Rhiannon felt saddened by this but continued to ride as Dewi slowed up to look back at their pursuers.
She galloped beside him once he caught up with the rest of his troops and her. She wished they'd get to their destination soon, it was starting to lightning.

"Foul weather! " He laughed with his hair plastered to his fore head, he rode faster through the muddy ground. A few troopers stopped and turned. Dewi shouted at them; " What's the hold up?!" He got the answer as he rode up to them. A flooded river with a broken bridge.
He produced his telescope once more. Scanning for a route. He found none. So he ordered them to ride along it to find its end. Taking a second before riding off, Dewi checked in one of the large puches on his saddle, inside was Borris.

Rhiannon never really liked water. In fact, she was scared to death of it. Dogs and water were her two biggest fears. Once, again when she was little, she nearly drowned in a river and hadn't ever gone swimming since. So when she was riding next to Dewi and saw the river and the broken bridge, she wanted to turn and get away.
She carefully and shakily followed Dewi on her horse, but some lightning struck and scared the animal, so it threw her off and into the water. Annie was frozen with fear after she let out a scream, clinging to a log for dear life.

Dewi stopped as soon as he heard the scream. He turned his horse around and dove down the small muddy bank. A few troopers dismounted to help by throwing some thin rope down. Dewi grabbed one rope and tied it around his waist. He skidded down a little bit more to be able to reach her. " Grab my hand!" He shouted, extending his hand. It was god damn slippery but he moved further down. He could feel the water splash against his face.

Rhiannon wasted no time in grabbing Dewi's arm as tight as she could. She was afraid of getting dragged under the current like she had before. Once they hoisted her out of the water, she was quivering half with fear and half because she was freezing cold.
"S-sorry...."

" Its fine, but we need to keep moving." He said uniting the rope from his waist and chucked it to a trooper. He lifted Rhiannon up from the rock and gave her his jacket. " Put it on!" Once she had he had dragged her to his horse and hoisted her on. " Stay with me, one of the troopers will lead your horse!" He was having to shout over the storm. Suddenly he kicked the horse into a gallop.

She held onto his torso as they rode, feeling the warmth from his body and from his jacket she was wearing. Rhiannon felt like such a pain and like she was slowing everyone down.
"Thank you..."
Annie rested her cheek on his back and closed her eyes, enjoying the wind hitting her face. It felt nice and refreshing. She had calmed down now that they were far from the river.

" It's okay." He reassured her, then suddenly pulled on the reins. Turning the horse to the right seeing a large sturdy bridge where the water was calmer. He rode across the bridge, some troopers rode through the water, others following Dewi. He could see the next town. He rode as fast as he could towards it. It was quite small, but it was shelter.

She smiled, thankful that they rode into a small town. It looked cozy and very friendly.
"There is an inn we could stay at if they've enough room," she pointed out to Dewi as he slowed his horse up.
She was soaking wet and wanted to change into a new dress the moment she got inside. Or perhaps her night gown since it was getting late and she was tired.

Dewi dismounted and walked briskly to the inn and knocked the door. A small man opened the door and Dewi declared; " By the order of king George we demand that you give this inn up as a billet!" The small man agreed and led Dewi inside, he beckoned for Rhiannon to come in. It was about 8 pm in the night. He was tired, it looked like Rhiannon was as well. He had gone into his billeted room and sat on the bed topless with his breeches hanging low.

Rhiannon retired to the bathroom with her night gown and began to unlace her wet dress. She had already removed her shoes and left them out side the bath room. She used a towel to dry off a bit more and to wring out her long, dark hair. She dried it off and her body, then slid into the gown.
She came out and sat on the bed next to Dewi, expertly braiding her hair back as she sat. Annie hated sleeping with her hair down, it got too warm for her.
"Mmm, you look tired, Dewi," she said as she looked at him.

" Aren't we all?" He laughed slightly. In this room there was an oil lamp, it sat on the cupboard next to Dewi. He turned it down a bit and slipped under the blankets turning away from Rhiannon, he looked back on the day. Such drama and craze! His men were billeted mostly in the stables so that was off his mind. But what of this relationship with rhiannon, where was it to go?
" Night night."
