Rhiannon would sleep, gladly, it had been a long day for her. But she was starving and it was probably showing. Despite the fact she was thin and hungry, her hips were a bit wider than normal for such a small woman so it gave off the illusion that she was more average sized. She's deal with the fact she had no other clothing aside from the dress she was in later.
"I'll sleep later," she said. Rhiannon continued to stand as he sat on his bed in his night attire. She tried to be subtle about looking him over, but it probably wasn't working. She had never been good at being smooth. "...I'm a bit hungry, is there something I could eat?"

Dewi stood up. " I'l get you something now.." He walked to a small box, opening it, the smell drifting through the tent. He stood up holding a plate with bread and cheese on it. His socks were tight on his massive feet. He bent down and placed the platter next the bed. As he did so he winked again.
His bed was messy, so he tidied it up before sitting underneath the covers reading a book on french weaknesses, he yawned and stretched, knocking the book onto the floor and losing his page. He cursed under his breath, barley audible. He picked up the book and opened it to find his page.

Rhiannon gratefully took the food from Dewi, and let out a soft laugh as he winked at her again. He was a handsome fellow alright, Rhiannon would have to be blind to not see that. He seemed like a kindhearted man too, so that was icing on the cake.
"Thank you," she said as she took the platter from him. This was more food than she normally saw in a span of days. She took the food in small, neat bites. "This is more than I've eaten in days," she added.
Once she finished her meal, she got up and put the plate back where it came from. Rhiannon then noticed he knocked his book over, so she picked it up for him and handed it over. She stood by his bedside and asked, "What are you reading?"

" The french Weaknesses," Dewi said his left eye wandering about. " I need you to do something for my eye, its has very limited eyesight." A man was no good without two working eyes. He had always been teased because of it. He nodded at the plate. " There is much more where that came from." He yawned again. Fluffing his pillow up. " Help yourself." He said before lying down onto the pillow. It wasn't much but he would sleep tonight.

Rhiannon hadn't ever heard of the book so she just nodded and smiled.
"I can't cure your eyes overnight, but there are certain foods and herbs you can eat that'll improve it over time," she offered in a gentle tone. Her voice was always soft, even if she was upset. She really never got mad anyway, Annie was too sweet for that.
She didn't mean to keep him awake if he was trying to sleep, but she asked, "How long have you been in the army?"

" If I remember correct about five years, not much but its the thing I have." A man ushers in a small boy with bruises. They said he had been thieving. Dewi told him to get out and let the boy go. He was in no mood to shout. " Can you give me those herbs please?" Dewi continued reading his book, by now most of the troops were sleeping. Dewi had lit another candle to read. It was hard to read but he managed.

Rhiannon felt sympathy for the young boy. She gave him a motherly smile as the other man ushered him outside. Rhiannon had always loved children and wanted some of her own one day. She was getting into her thirties so her clock was ticking.
She nodded, "Do you mind waiting until morning? I'll need to go and get them from either my house or in the forest and given it's dark, I won't be able to see much now."
Rhiannon almost asked if she could see the little boy and patch him up a bit. She had noticed the bruises and cuts, but she figured that he was running as fast as he could away from here.
"Impressive," she said in reference to his time in the military.

" Very well." Dewi said. " Time for sleep." He blew the first candle out and wait for Rhiannon to get in bed before blowing the other candle out. Oh! He was tired, yawning every minute almost. He wasn't sure why he was tired. Maybe the anger had drained him. He sipped from his canteen, emptying it. He swatted a few flies before opening his pouch of rosemary to scare the bugs away, it never worked but he always tried it.

Rhiannon also went to her bed and lay down to sleep. She wasn't near as scared as she had been before, but she missed home. Eventually, after the lights were turned off, she fell asleep, looking peaceful as she slept.
The next morning, Rhiannon woke up early. Her hair had been in a braid yesterday and it was messy so she just undid it and let her dark hair loose. It hit her about mid-back. Dewi was stirring and bound to be waking up soon, considering he was the leader of these men. She watched him for a second as he slept and smiled, he looked angelic when he slept. She looked away, flustered as he awoke.
"Morning," she greeted quietly.

" Huh?!" Dewi awoke suddenly. " Sorry, morning." Dewi yawned, he was feeling better today. He kicked off the bed covers, his shirt was next to his bed. His 4 pack was showing in pride. His breeches hung low until he got up, he pulled them up. Washed his chest and slipped his shirt on. He pulled his riding boots on and placed his uniform jacket on, he clipped his helmet to sis belt with his scabbard and holster. He was ready fir another day.

Rhiannon couldn't help but blush when he got out of bed with no shirt on. She made herself look the other direction and pretend to be fixing her hair as he got himself ready. She planned on going outside to get the herbs for him.
"I'm going to go get the herbs for you," she said as she opened the flap to the tent. "I'll be back in a little while, it's not too far a walk."

" I'l come with you." Dewi couldn't help notice her pink cheeks.God, she is beautiful. He ran through tent flap his scabbard clanging against his leg. most men were a sleep. As they pass the piquet, the guard saluted and followed them for safety. it was windy this morning, the sun obscured slightly by the clouds. I hate wind. Well don't we all? Dewi was cautious, there had been no news of Americans. He tried to stop nerving but that just made him more nervous.

Rhiannon was glad he wanted to go with her. She also took note of the other man following them. After being alone for so long, a woman became paranoid about any strangers. She smiled and nodded,
"Making sure I don't run away, eh," she teased. She wasn't about to try and run away anyways. She was doing good for people here and was growing to like the man next to her, why leave?
A small breeze ruffled her hair, blowing it across her face so she pushed it back as she walked. She looked over at him and cocked her head to one side slightly.
"Why so nervous?"

" Instinct." He simply replied, striding in long steps he slowed down slightly before entering the forest. The trees shifted slowly in the wind. No movement apart from the odd squirrel. Until he saw a foot. Followed by another. It was a god damn patrol! " Get down!" He whispered, he hit the long grass slowly, hoping not to be seen.
The patrol were in Militia uniforms, could be patriot, could be French. He could whistle for help. And get shot? No! This was awful, un-clipping his pistol from its holster. Moving backwards towards the camp. The pistol shot could send the Militia, or the 7th. God only hoped it would be the 7th.

Rhiannon silently sank down behind one of the large oak trees next to Dewi. She was used to being able to stay hidden and silent, and since she had lived in the forest her entire adult life, she knew each nook and bend from here to miles past her house.
"Dewi...what's going on," she whispered nervously.
In these sort of incidences, Annie would have snuck off and run away by now. She didn't want to risk getting Dewi shot because of her trying to run so she stayed put.

" Stay down." He said, ensuring they were unseen. A leader of a company or a brigade or anything to do with a regiment carried a whistle. Dewis' was in his top pocket. He pulled it out, the chain trailing from the pocket. It was very shiny, well most of it was. It had the odd spec of dirt but nothing major. He raised it to his thin lips. He waited for the patrol to turn before blowing it. It was the most annoying thing ever, or that's what Dewi said. It was middle pitched and very loud. He could hear the 7th stirring. The patrol turned presenting at the invisible fugitives. Soon men from the 7th were visible. As they rode passed, a man led Dewis horse to there hiding spot. He got on it and hoisted her onto the saddle.

Rhiannon let out a little gasp of surprise as he hoisted her little body into the saddle. She wrapped her arms around his torso so she wouldn't fall off and just stayed silent. She was scared, Annie hadn't been shot at before. She knew how to use a gun, but she hadn't ever been shot at.
"Dewi be careful," she said in his ear as he kicked the horse into gait.

Dewi slowed the horse to hand his pistol to Rhiannon, it was loaded. he already had his sword in hand as he sped up. A few Americans were dead. It looked as only one man from his regiment was wounded, no dead. The Americans were unlucky, the group of 50 had stumbled upon three quarters of a cavalry regiment. Dewi looked to the left seeing his men, he veered to the right to circle a young boy holding a musket. Dewi then veered to the left to come around to the boys left. He swing with his right, slicing the boys side. Quickly turning around and switching the hand the sword hand and sliced again, this was a better cut. The boy dropped the musket clutching his sides he sank to his knees, blood pouring from the wounds. He slowly fell onto his face. Most americans were dead, about 15 had ran.

Rhiannon flinched and closed her eyes as the young boy fell to the ground bleeding to death. He was far too young to lose his life. She knew his eys would haunt her ;Annie for a while she hadn't witnessed death before.
She clutched onto Dewi, wishing they could leave right now. She saw many wounds that she'd be healing soon enough. Only gashes, nothing she couldn't handle.
"I'll need to go back and get bandages from my home..."

Dewi rode as fast as he could to her house, the wind was immense, one gust almost made him topple off. He reined the horse when they reached the destination, but something was out of place. It looked like a mess on the street. He could hear clanks and crashes. then he saw a man in a patriot uniform inside her house. The Patriots are here. Maybe a regiment had set up in this area. Dewi cursed. " Take my horse and go get the boys, ask for McEwan. " as he said that he dismounted, sword in hand. His back up pistol in the other.
