Greetings! So I'm new here, but I'm a moderately experienced roleplayer and I'm reading to get started. So far my only character is a lovely French captain, Sacha Benoit. Sacha's a real pleasant fellow unless you're British. Doesn't matte if you're a hardcore patriot, doesn't matter if you wore born in Britain but moved to France before you even learned to walk and grew up there, if you were born on British soil he's been programmed to look down on you. Likewise, he thinks of the cavalry (of which he is a member) as the superior section of the military, though he's much less callous in those situations. He's very well-educated and likes to flaunt it, though he'd never mock someone less educated than him; Sacha loves learning and is saddened by the fact that not everyone has the chance. There's more I could say, but to be short, Sacha is a sharp-tongued, holier-than-thou French military man, and he needs plots! He especially needs friends. Military friends. French of Patriot. Anyone?

Well, I do not have any French characters I'm sorry to say, but here are the ones I do have:
Cadet Danny McPherson - Scottish sharpshooter, hates the English about as much as your fella, but has to fight for them or risk losing all of the property belonging to her family back home. (and yes, she is a girl disguised as a boy) age 17
Aaron Butler (Akwiran:iate) - Mohawk Ally to the British, his home was invaded by the patriots and he dislikes anyone who sides with them. a man of few words, Tey chooses to let his actions speak louder. age between 20-23
Private Nathaniel Munroe - Nate was born a stones throw from the field that held the first shots of the American Revolution, and his father was one of the 9 men killed at Lexington that April morning. he followed the army for months before they would let him join, and he is looking for a chance to prove himself. age 16
William Wolfe - Canadian fur trader and lover of peace, William wants nothing to do with the war to the south, but has a feeling it will come to him and his family anyway. his trading routes include Detroit all the way to Montreal and Quebec. age 15
hope this is enough of a variety to choose from! let me know if you would like to start anything with these guys!

Sorry for the late response! I'll be better I promise.
Danny & Sacha- Sacha would likely hate Danny more for fighting for something/one (s)he doesn't believe in more than he would for her fighting for the British, regardless of her rationale. I could see a drunken brawl over it, if Danny does that sort of thing. I assume Danny's gender is still a secret and you're keeping it that awy, but if Sacha were to ever find out he'd get very upset and become very protective of her, to the point of ordering his men to hold fire if he saw her on the field. Sacha's very protective of his sisters and that would translate over to her, and he's also not a fan of women in the army for any reason, combat or otherwise.
Aaron & Sacha- Once again, Sacha would not be a fan of Aaron. Sacha talks a lot and would be offended by Aaron's silence, and he'd disagree with Aaron's beliefs, trying to convince him it was the British who invaded his land, not the patriots. And on the topic of beliefs, in honor of his father he'd likely try and save Aaron's soul and convert him to Catholicism. That could be fun, I think.
Nathaniel & Sacha- Sacha would really like Nathaniel, and he'd be all for helping him prove himself. He'd really appreciate the dedication. I could see Sacha fancying himself Nathaniel's mentor, and them going on adventures together or even just training.
William & Sacha- Sacha would be conflicted by William; he'd want to call him a coward but would at the same time understand the desire to stay neutral and appreciate that he didn't side with the British. I think they would be acquaintances at most, but probably wouldn't really interact. Unless William has picked up French from his time in Quebec. Then Sacha would hunt him down for a nice conversation in his native tongue in a setting other than a fort or camp. But still, not a lot there.
I'm thinking I'd like to do an Aaron/Sacha or a Nathaniel/Sacha thread. Et tu?

alright! both Aaron and Nate sound like good choices! It's totally up to you which one you'd like to pair up with! Though I think I like the 'enemy' pairings more than the 'ally' ones, just for the RP options available. for Aaron (or Tey as his native name is shortened to), it would be quite interesting to see how him and Sacha would meet and in what situation, and also to religious aspect of it too! as for Nate, I can see a lot of lost puppy dog following happening, just because of Sacha's experience and his patriotism.
what do you think?

Let's do Sacha and Tey first. If this goes well, or if you want to do two, we'll do Sacha and Nate so in terms of them meeting, they'd have to meet in the city or the surrounding woodlands. I would like them meeting in the city, perhaps Tey patrolling or even just walking in his uniform and Sacha obnoxiously commenting on having never seen "one of his kind" in the city before? Unless you have an idea?
