Let's Do Some Plotting.

Hi everyone I'm Katie and I'm new to the site. I have 2 characters, both of which are Patriots. One is a soldier, one is the granddaughter of Benjamin Franklin.

Here's a bit of an intro to them, ladies first.

Abby is my red-head, fiesty, yet kind granddaughter of Ben Franklin. She lives in Philadelphia taking care of Ben while also being a journalist for his newspaper "The Pennsylvania Gazette." She is smart, fun, friendly, talkative and loves to meet new people. She is currently single, but had a rough past with an ex. Read her bio for more info. She'll trust people, but it takes her awhile especially with men.

Jack is my Scottish turned patriotic soldier. He's a bit older, but still young at heart. He is currently a colonel in the Continental Army under the command of General George Washington and sometimes under Major General Benedict Arnold. It varies depending on the mission, however his men are stationed with Washington at the moment. Jack is a messenger most of the time often traveling around the country delivering messages. He is also somewhat of a spy at times when he is caught by the British and then he poses as a Tory giving them false information about the army. Jack is a kind, strict, content man loving what he does. He is currently single as well and could always use more friends who aren't married with kids.

So if anyone's interested, they both need friends, enemies and maybe a lover or two, then reply back and let's see where this goes! I'm open to any ideas

Danny McPherson is a young Scottish lady who stole her brother's identity and ran off to join the british army, all to pay for her father's traitorous debt to the crown, although she hates the English, she still must fight for them if she ever wants her older brother to regain the family land. she started out as a drummer for the 43rd light company, but now is a cadet or ensign for the 54th. she too is a messenger and also a scout for her commanding officers, and often goes out by herself or with her Mohawk companion Aaron Butler dressed as a frontiersman or native herself. she has a great respect for the men of the colonies, and supports their cause almost as much as her own.

William Wolfe is a young lad from Upper Canada who grew up in the trading business, he has no desire to see the war, and no loyalty to either side. he'd much rather canoe up and down the St. Lawrence for the rest of his days and live every night under the wild skies. unfortunately, war has already come to his homeland, and is fast approaching on his sanctuary.

well there they are, I think it would be quite a story if Danny and your Jack ever met, perhaps they could meet on one of their message runs, one or the other could be captured by their enemy, and see what stories ensue from our two highlanders! there's my idea, let me know what you think!

hello, right now I only have one character, Andreas Fleishcer.

he's a Hessian soldier, well technically he's from Brunswick, but anyway, he's German and he was forced into the Hessian army by the impressment, and sent to the colonies to fight along the British soldiers. He's rebelious in nature, but like his comrades he doesn't feel like the colonial revalution is their war to fight. He has plans of escaping the army and joining the patriots in their quarrel, because if he has to choose a side he'd rather fight for them.

I'm planning on having him run away pretty soon, so he could probably end up in towns like Philadelphia, or he could possibly run into a messenger. I do want him joining the patriots soon though so he'll probably end up interacting with your characters eventually, here's his bio so you can read it and tell me what you think he'd be best as for your characters, I'm pretty much open for anything (friends, enemies, ect.)

Str---Green Mountain Boys and Ethan Allen! Yay I love them, Benedict Arnold and them interact a bit in the beginning of the war so Jack would eventually run into them. I love that idea, I'll get it going tomorrow. I pulled a muscle in my right shoulder and I'm right-handed so it hurts like hell right now. I'll do in New Hampshire so keep an eye out for that.

Dallas---I'd love to rp with you sometime. I see Andreas (Henry Cavill!! Yummy lol) and Abby meeting more than I do with Jack. Jack would not like him from the start since he is a Hessian, but that also would be fun to do lol. Abby would help him out in any way she could and she'd be a bit weary at first since he is a Hessian. If he ended up in Philadelphia, they could meet that way since she lives there. Maybe he could get provoked by someone insulting him and his troops and Abby defends him and invites him back to where she lives with Ben. Or he could seek Ben out and they meet that way since Ben would be accepting to him first before Abby would. Abby goes along with whoever Ben tells her too lol. Something like that or you have anything else in mind please feel free to let me know.

well he'd probably run away at the dead of night, probably with one or two other hessians that would probably die during their escape. he's a low ranking soldier so he doesn't really have command over anyone. he'd shed his jacket and hat so that he's less recognizable, and he has been working on a colonist accent, though he would not speak much lest he accidently speak with a german or british accent xD he would probably just end up in philidelphia, he could meet Ben or Abby in the city, but they'd find out he's a Hessian Brunswicker later.

Dallas-Sounds good, I have the funny idea of Abby and Andreas running away from something and turning around a corner and literally running into each other and then maybe if he uses his colonist accent, she'd talk to him a lot and probably invite him to stay with her and Ben if he didn't have a place to stay. When she'd learn the truth, she'd admire him and offer to help.

I've got a couple of lads to offer. Private Ben Strout of the 2nd Massachusetts and Private Adam Starling of the 1st New Hampshire. Both are Continentals, though of the two, Strout is the better tempered. Starling, the Vermonter, is grumpy and petulant, and pretty much wild. He served with Ethan Allen at Ticonderoga, and later was with the 23rd Continental (which renumbered to become the 2nd Massachusetts) before joining Stark's 1st New Hampshire. Strout, the Bostonian, has been with the 2nd Massachusetts for most of his service.

At the moment, Strout and his regiment have lately been in action with a mixed foraging party comprised of Hessians and redcoats, and have been rather well scattered by them. I'm not sure where Starling is right though.

It sounds like Jack would be the best to rp with either one, maybe Jack and Strout could meet up somewhere since Jack is a messenger for Benedict Arnold mostly so they'd be the most likely to meet. If Starling and Jack met up, I see them clashing since Jack is pretty much well-tempered lol.

it sounds like it would be quite an adventure if Strout and Jack met up with Danny, two hard headed patriots vs. a stubborn little scotswoman lol. it would be pretty interesting i bet.

As to Strout, I think he would be wary at first of an officer, but he'd come round. Starling would probably just be stroppy. Which could be fun all on its own. ^__^

Both of them would be uncertain about somebody like Danny, though, I think!

Yeah Jack wants everyone around him especially if they are in the army to get along with everyone because he tries to be fair yet understanding towards people. He wants an army to fight the British not each other. It could be fun either way.

Lol yeah the two of them together with Danny would be amusing as heck lol. Jack's also Scottish so who knows.

Could one of them rp with Abby at some point? Maybe one has to speak to Congress about the army's progress and the need for more money and he stays at Ben Franklin's house? I'm just curious.

oh my gosh, poor Andreas. that would be so hilarious if they were running then crashed into each other as they turned a corner. it would also be interesting to see how he reacted after learning that she's the grand daughter of Ben Franklin. I'd imagine he'd be very uncomfortable and that would arouse suspicion and could possibly lead to him spilling the beans or her trying to figure out his secret.

this is good though, I was wondering for the longest time how I would handle him running away and how that would go down in an rp.

Lol it's very much like Abby, she's clumsy at times. If that happened, she would help him. This is really good, would you like to rp with that in mind? I can start it if you want in PA. I already know why Abby will run, she'll run her mouth with British soldiers lol.

xD you can start if you'd like and I'll jump in. Andreas will probably be all jumpy and think that he hears a Hessian or redcoat officer pursuing after him. ya I'm pretty sure Andreas will have a good reason to be running.
