Abby was even more curious at what was going on around her. Now she was not alone with this tall, strong, stubborn Indian, maybe she could escape and convince them that she was only trying to get back to Pennsylvania. She glanced up slowly and saw that the person who was talking in a very thick accent was telling the Indian to treat her with respect. But why was she talking to him like that and him letting her, Abby couldn't help, but wonder.
Scowling a bit at the Indian's comment about the colonists treating them like dogs, "Just because other colonists have mistreated you does not mean I will be the same. How do you even know that I side with the Americans or with the British?" She asked snapping a bit at him before the person with the heavy, thick accent appeared in front of her and was talking with someone else. The person was called Andy and Abby decided to ignore them right now until she was talked to. Her grandfather had always told her that if she was ever being held hostage then she needed to do whatever they told her to do. She slowly tilted her head up and glanced up at Danny, the person told her the name. She raised an eyebrow slowly glancing up, wondering if Danny was really a woman. The person's skin looked too clean and pretty to be a man's.
"I apologize for being rude, however, I am tied up for no reason trying to get home. Hello Danny the Scot, I will behave unless provoked, you have my word." She replied slowly before hearing footsteps behind Danny. Glancing around and her eyes went a bit wide, as she recognized Andrew, the Frenchman, who had left her house just weeks ago. What was he doing here?
"Andrew...." She whispered softly not wanting to get him in trouble so she shut her mouth tightly trying to find a way to get them out of here. She saved Andrew once, she could do it again...or so she hoped.

-ANDREAS Andreas nodded at the Indian when Danny introduced him. He hadn't ever properly met an Indian before, it was an interesting experience. Though he wasn't impressed by how he had been treating his prisoner. Though that didn't mean all Indians were like that of course, and he knew that. Plus Tey had actually chosen a side to fight for. He grimaced at Tey's comment about how the colonists had treated them like dogs. Being taken captive still could happen to him. Can't be that bad could it? Although he knew that it would be. Being taken captive by either army would be bad, especially since he was a rogue Hessian.
Danny introduced himself to the woman who was still looking down. So Danny was a Scot then. He had known that Danny was not British, but he just hadn't been able to place his strong accent. He looked down to the woman again as she spoke. His blood froze when he saw her face, it was non other then Abigail. What in the world is she doing this far North? He tried to remember if she had said something about going North, but couldn't recall. Well now he had to find a way to free her, though he doubted that saying she was his fiance would work. Danny would see right through that lie in a heart beat.
His throat tightened when she looked up at him and he could see the surprised look on her face. He tried to act calm, but it was obvious that she had recognized him and if they made it out of this she would have some questions for him. Questions that he dreaded. Looking back from where they had come from he asked Danny, βIs there anyone else around?β He didn't make an attempt to hide his German accent at all now. It would be a waste of energy.

Danny watched the girl's face for signs of lying, but she could tell right away it was a misunderstanding that had gotten out of hand. she took her sghian dubh out of the back of her belt and cut the bonds that bound the girl's wrists, rubbing the skin where the leather had made little white lines across her already pale skin. she glanced back up at her face and smiled, but the girl wasn't looking at her, she was looking at Andreas, something flashed in her eyes that Danny couldn't place, turning to the Hessian she saw he too was looking at the girl. "there was a trapper we found off to the east about half a kilometer away, but I don't think he'll be much trouble, didn't seem to be interested in starting a fight." She answered his question.
Danny could tell Tey was in a mood now, he never said anything unless it was important, but even his silences were ever so slightly readable. he crossed his arms and set his jaw, he didn't like either of the people before him. strangers were always greeted with hostility with Tey. Danny sighed and helped the girl up, but kept a hand on her upper arm. "I realize this is a simple misunderstanding, miss, but if you are for the patriots, we can't risk letting you go, what to stop you from telling the next company you meet where we are? Then again, you're not worth taking back to our camp, we have no need of you. so, is there any solution you can think of that would benefit all of us?" she asked.

There was definitely something not right about this gathering, but Starling wasn't sure what until he heard the Scottish boy introduce someone as a Hessian. These were all bloody British. He halted in his silent advance immediately and wished he had something on his person to use to summon his company. They were about a mile off but could be on the scene in minutes, at a run.
This group was too large for him to confront on his own, even as formidable as scrapper as he was. If even these few were this close to a Continental regiment, there had to be more nearby. Starling drew himself up slowly, prepared to make a silent retreat. There was nothing to be gained from making his presence known. Now, anyway. Once he got the others roused to alarm, this lot would be for it.
Once he got safely away, that was.

Abby was getting more and more nervous every single step that was taken towards her. She had mixed feelings about this Danny person even though they had been nothing, but nice to her and had defended her towards the tall, scary Indian that she heard Danny call him Tey. She then sighed and then glanced up in slight shock as Danny cut loose the binds that held her wrists together and began to rub her skin gently. She stared up at Danny as they talked to her and she suddenly had a feeling that Danny was a girl. Her skin was too clean and gentle to be a man's. None the less if Danny was indeed a girl, Abby would never tell anyone.
"Thank you Danny." She told her softly before turning back towards the crowd of men around them. There was someone in the back that she didn't recognize and of course there was also Tey and Andrew. Why in the world was Andrew there? She wanted to tell him to run, but did not wish to get them in trouble. However he was talking to Danny as if they already had met before.
She then gulped nervously at Danny telling her what options they had and what they could do. She was not a Loyalist, but had a feeling that they all were for the British. She was sick of lying to people so if she died, then she would die being honest.
"I am a proud Patriot dedicated to the cause of freedom for the colonies, however, if you release me, then I swear on the Bible that I will never tell anyone of your whereabouts. I just want to go back to my home in peace. You are correct, I do not know the lands or the whereabouts of the armies around here so I would be pointless to keep around. Please just release me and you shall see that I will keep my word and not tell anyone. If that does not settle you, someone can escort me back to Philadelphia and I shall help you if trouble arises." She replied softly trying to hide the nervousness in her tone of voice. She needed to be strong.

Danny thought for a long while, leaving the girl standing by Tey as she paced slowly across the clearing and back. she could risk letting the girl go, after all, with Tey by her side, they could disappear into the forest with a snap of her finger. but then again, she did say she was lost. Danny felt the need to help her, a fellow female, get back to where she was going.
"We know the road that leads tae Philadelphia, it's nae far from here." Danny began. "we could escort yae there, but I ken Tey will not agree tae it unless something is done aboot your ability tae tell people where yae found us. Am I right?"
Tey gave a curt nod and made a motion across his eyes.
"Right, just what I was thinking." Danny moved to the girl again and looked apologetically at her. "I'm thinking, if we are tae take yae tae the road, we'll have tae blindfold yae."

-ANDREAS Andreas took a step back and simply watched as the scene unfolded before him. Danny began talking about what was going to happen with her, and Abigail swore that she wouldn't tell anyone that they where they were. He frowned, realizing that she could have easily lied just to be set free, but instead had decided to stick by what she believed in. Such loyalty. He could hardly comprehend it. The sudden urge to have that kind of loyalty to something came over him. All he wanted was something to believe in, enough to fight for it.
He looked away, but continued to listen to the conversation. It sounded like they weren't to fond of just letting her go, which made sense. When he heard about taking her to the road, maybe he could escort her. That way he could make sure she got away safely, just in case Danny or Tey changed their mind. He turned back towards them, βI can take her to the road. I was already heading that way. If there are yankees around then you two could handle them.β He spoke calmly, wondering where exactly he was trying to go with this.
Besides Abigail was probably starting to get confused about how he knew Danny. He knew that she deserved to be told the truth. He had wanted to tell her the truth if he had ever seen her again anyway. He tried to avoid looking at her eyes, he was slightly scared of letting on that he was acquainted with her. There was no need to complicate this. He wasn't sure what Danny would think of him deserting his regiment, and he wasn't eager to find out. ((I apologize for not posting for the longest time ever ))

It suddenly hit Abby that she was not coming out of this peacefully like she longed to be. They wouldn't just leave her alone and let her return home in peace to help run the Gazette like Ben had asked her to. She only thanked God that her grandfather wasn't around to see what was going on. He probably would have had a heart attack or something like that if he had seen this. Plus he was of more value to the British than she was.
She then listened carefully to the exchange between Danny, the Indian and Andrew. She was still so confused on how they all interacted with one another as if they had known each other from another time. She sighed pushing a stray piece of her hair from her face. When Danny suggested that they blindfold her, her eyes went wide. What?! If anything that would raise more suspicions if anyone found them. Andrew then offered to escort her and she appreciated him trying to help her.
"If I may say something if you blindfold me, what would you do if any colonist questioned you? They would be highly suspicious and might become violent. There are lots of farms around, you never know where their loyalties lie." She said softly glancing over at Danny and then back at her hands not wanting to be obvious that she knew Andrew.

Danny looked to Andreas, the man could be helpful, since Tey obviously had no intentions to help this girl, and Danny herself was wary of it. but what of the dangers to the Hessian?
"She's right, Andy, it could be dangerous if yae come across a few patriotic colonists. we could all go, strength in numbers yae ken." as much as she disliked admitting she was wrong, the girl had a point with the dangers of the colonists, and she began to doubt her idea. It did go directly against her instincts of self-preservation. Tey, it seemed, had the same idea, and was not at all interested in helping anyone today. "No. we must be going. we are needed elsewhere." He growled, unmoved on his opinion of the two strangers. it was obvious he wanted to be away from them as soon as possible.
Danny was still concerned for Andreas. so she nodded at Tey in agreement then walked over to the Hessian and took him aside. "If yae are sure yae can handle it, then I trust yae tae get it done. but if yae run intae trouble, oor temporary camp is located here, awa' tae the north-west-" she drew a rough map in the dirt by their feet with a stick, then pointed out another spot further on. "and oor company is camped further on, about a day and a half's march tae the west." Danny gave Andreas a moment to memorize the map, then rubbed it out with her foot. she then pulled a piece of soft buckskin from her bag and gave it to Andreas to use as a blindfold. "I wish the both of yae guid luck, then. Andreas, I hope yae are well and I hope we meet again." She held out her hand for him to shake. "And I hope yae make it home safely, Lass, and go a venturing more safely next time." She smiled at the girl and gave Tey a look for him to back off. they stepped off together and took a few steps up the hill before Danny turned to wave.
